Is It Time for You to Overhaul Your SEO Strategy?

February 1, 2021

Constantly analyzing digital marketing efforts is crucial to the success of the campaign. It’s not enough to keep trying whatever strategy without determining if it’s effective. It would be a waste of time and effort. The good thing is that there are signs to indicate that certain strategies don’t work, and it is probably time for an overhaul. With the aid of the right Seattle SEO company, it’s even easier to decide if a major overhaul would be necessary.

There aren’t too many leads

Some platforms would promise to have up to 20 leads a day. It’s quite unrealistic considering that not too many people will probably even open the site on any given day, let alone have a lead. The realistic option is about 15-20 leads a month. However, if the site isn’t getting anything close to it or is barely happening, it’s time to overhaul the strategy. Leads are crucial in landing potential customers. Without them, there’s no chance of increasing profits.

The leads aren’t the right audience

There are times when the lead is there, but it’s not the right one. Just because people visit the page or leave information doesn’t mean they’re the right audience. It’s possible that they won’t have a chance of buying anything from the company at all. It’s a waste of time to advertise to those who won’t be part of your loyal customer base.

A specific example is when the business offers accounting services. It’s a problem when the lead came from the travel industry asking for help related to insurance, but the company doesn’t operate or have knowledge in the industry.

Poor quality traffic

Website traffic indicates the number of people visiting the website. An increase in traffic is a good sign. However, it’s not always about quantity. If the people visiting the site aren’t the target audience, the traffic quantity means nothing. Another way to determine if it’s the right audience is by analyzing how long they stayed on the page. If it’s about 30 seconds or less, it’s not the right traffic. The number of pages explored is also another indicator. If the user only explores the homepage and decides to leave, it’s a terrible sign. It means that the website isn’t doing the job.

These signs reveal that the website requires an overhaul, specifically with web design. The page might not be appealing enough for these potential customers to even spend time with. The images are overall layout and don’t do anything to make them feel excited. The page looks dull and not interesting at all. Apart from the appearance, most of these users immediately leave because they find nothing significant. They don’t think that the website is what they’re looking for. It shows that the content is of poor quality and changes need to happen.

Poor click-through rates for paid ad campaigns

The good thing about paid ads is that the payment would only be necessary if someone already clicked the link. Of course, the goal is to click the link and decide to buy the products sold. Expecting a 60% click-through rate is unreasonable. Not even the most successful campaigns hit that number. 1-2% is more reasonable. It’s difficult to ask people to click the ads. Even then, there’s no guarantee that they will become customers. However, if the ad campaign doesn’t result in any clicks, it’s a bad sign. Something needs to change with the quality of the ads or the optimized keyword. Otherwise, it becomes a futile effort.

Social media activities are barely happening

Social media is an important platform for digital marketing. Everyone is using social media to reach out to as many people as possible. It would be terrible not to have a working social media strategy. The problem is that even if there are updates on social media, there are not enough activities happening. People don’t seem to engage at all. Facebook posts don’t receive likes and comments. Blog posts also barely receive likes. Even Twitter posts don’t get retweets or likes. These are signs that something isn’t right with the strategy.

It’s possible that the content being posted or shared isn’t interesting enough. Not everyone finds the post worthy of sharing or even liking. It’s also a sign that the social media page isn’t attracting the right people. There should be a drastic change in approaching social media for digital marketing. Otherwise, the posts published won’t do anything to boost the brand’s popularity.

Conversions aren’t increasing

Asking people to come and visit the website is already a difficult task. Making them decide to buy the products presented on the website is even harder. The conversion rate refers to the number of people who visited the website and decided to purchase the products and services offered. If the digital marketing strategy doesn’t yield a higher conversion rate, it’s a terrible sign. It means that people didn’t find anything interesting upon opening the website.

It’s time to change and work with Seattle SEO Company

After analyzing digital marketing strategies, major changes might not be necessary if everything is doing well. However, if there are barely any activities going on, it’s time to consider major changes. SEO companies will be useful in this regard. With the help of these experienced strategists, the website will be more popular. The issues faced by the business might eventually get solved.

A digital marketing campaign is never easy. SEO, in particular, is also challenging. There are lots of companies that would like to attract the same audiences. The goal is to maintain online visibility so that the business becomes an option for these target customers. There’s nothing wrong with overhauling the strategies used to boost the possibility of ranking higher in search engines or being more popular online. Digital marketing changes constantly, and the strategies that work today might no longer be useful tomorrow. It’s up to the business to keep up with the trends and try whatever might work, including the partnership with Seattle SEO Company. It’s usually a trial and error method, and it helps to find the right approach.
